Stephen Watson, Pastor

Dear Church Family,

We are excited to announce that we will be having church services again starting May 24th! We have missed seeing everyone face to face! Even though the Missouri Department of Health has said that worship services can resume, social distancing guidelines should still be followed. The governor has asked that we avoid handshaking and hugging, stay at home if we feel sick, and keep six feet of distance between individuals (unless they are family members). So to adhere to the state’s guidelines, we will be making some temporary changes to our church services. These changes will last until the social distancing guidelines are changed.

Service changes:

  • Please keep 6 feet between families
  • Avoid handshaking and hugging
  • Offering will be collected via a plate at the back of the church
  • We will postpone communion until further notice

If you still feel like the safest option for you would be to stay home, we understand! Do what is best for you and your family!

Service dates and details:

Sunday, May 24th:  This will be our first time back together in person! There will be no Sunday School. We will not be taking communion this week. As we try to ease back into the swing of things we will spread out as much as possible. Pews will be marked off to help us distance ourselves properly. We have also decided to move the Cemetery Fund Offering to May 31st.

Sunday, May 31st:  We will take the Cemetery Fund Offering. There will be no Sunday School.

We know these changes will be strange, but we want to honor God by being good citizens and following the state’s guidelines! We love each and every one of you, and we are excited to see you again in person!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Pastor Steve or a board member.

In Christ,

The Moniteau Church Board
